Not even pre-feudal, it was just feudal. It wasn't as strict as it was after the Norman conquest, but land ownership was still dependent on the approval of the king.

The first is that NSG was very keen to chatter when companies were supposed to be moving headquarters to the continent, yet seem oddly silent about an exceptionally large company moving completely to becoming UK based. Not that we should make too many conclusions from how a business is headquartered.

The second is that a private company that preaches ethics to governments should seek to be ethical itself. I'm sure you do not believe tax evasion is an ethical practice? At the very least this should undermine their moral authority.

Sure neoliberal rainbow capitalism is hypocritical in the extreme, saying “help immigrants” while enslaving people in third world countries for cheap labor and such but I still do not see what getting in a Twitter pissing match accomplishes.

Fair point, it does allow you to disguise the impact. Given you already destroyed the economy worse than Brexit could, any Brexit problems will be lost in the mix.

There's some evidence that it's just a matter of the contact tracing getting better, though: ZOE has gone back to having decreasing infection numbers in their models, as has MRC (albeit with low confidence in that latter case). The next ONS report is due out on Friday, which will probably pin things down better.
