So in really surprising news: former Minister for Skills Robert Halfon apologised for tweeting support of Cummings, and it's an actual apology:

Having said all this, if it is true as reported in today’s Sunday Newspapers that there have been breaches of the regulations by this individual, then without doubt action should be taken by the appropriate authorities.
