It isn't, though. That's on the 1st of January next year. This is a minor bit of grandstanding on the way to that.

The actual constitutional change, that being we are no longer a part of the EU, occurred today. The transition period is just something that (wrongfully) got agreed.

You realise without a transition period we would be operating on WTO terms right now and the country would be fucked right?

Indeed, but if the point isn't to fix problems, but hate and demonize a particular group, that's not what you would propose.
In terms of UK sex ed, I don't think it would be sufficient to simply teach consent in our current set up, given that we segregate girls and boys lessons.
This also has the impact of fostering unawareness of the other sexes reproductive biology. They should be desegregated first, then consent taught.
Are they?
Mine weren't segregated.

And the entirety of my sex education was my very muslim chemistry teacher telling the class to read the chapter at home and "Don't get anyone pregnant lads."
So far I've raped zero people.

R.E once said you shouldn't sleep around because you don't know if someone might be a relative of yours you haven't met until the wedding and the families turn up. You might be fucking your cousin.
You don't want to risk fucking your cousin, do you?

Why that was in R.E I don't even know. But "no pre/extramarital sex" is right, even if that's a stupid reason.

Mine were segregated for sex-ed, but not otherwise except for P.E.
Sex-ed revolved around pictures of diseased penises and trying to traumatize us, then demanding we put a condom on a banana to show we know how and if we don't then the pictures will happen to our dicks.
There was also like, some pretty hilariously bad in hindsight talk about sex as in;
"Blowjobs, vaginal, anal. Those are the sex. If you do one of these, it is a sex, if its not one of these, it is not a sex.".
In the context of "wrap up your dick" that might make some sense, but is pretty bad for broader understanding.

Monogamy isn't stupid (and nobody said it was) but it's also exceedingly ignorant to believe it's the only valid form of sexual relationship, or that marriage is the only valid form of long term relationship. I like to start the day with a nice bowl of Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cornflakes but if I tried to force everyone to eat Crunchy Nut Cornflakes for breakfast and claimed other forms of breakfast were immoral merely because I didn't like them, they'd think I was an authoritarian maniac.
