GVH is a walking satire of conservatives - and a particularly exaggerated satire at that - except when he says that he wants to kill poor people, subvert democracy, and destroy both the economy and the environment so that the rich can gain absolute, unquestioned control over the resulting ruined mess, he's being 100% serious.

Dude, it's the same map with the colouring changed. Still amusing though.

Yeah I know, was just amused that there wasn't even an attempt to photoshop some differences to make it more believable. :p

And with only a few more hours to go, it is time to say goodbye.

It's been an interesting ride, so I will quote a late, famous British author to mark the occasion. I find his oeuvre fitting to what has happened in the last few years, and for what is about to come.

...

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

very funny that will brexiters will be talking about moving on together as one nation while northern ireland returns a nationalist majority, loyalists complain they've been annexed to the EU and scotland shows a trend towards independence and desire for a referendum in the near future

It's weird because even though it's about to happen on paper the actual impact of it won't be felt until next year. It's going to be the king of hangovers.

Well, some of the actual impact happens immediately. For example, the UK will lose all representation in EU bodies tomorrow.

Because rich people could catch the corona virus, so better to hold them until we know 100% they don’t have the disease. Wouldn’t want the deadly illness ruining all that wealth accumulation.

Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

Purgatio is an absolutist hereditary monarchy run as a one-party fascist dictatorship, which seized power in a sudden and abrupt coup d'état of 1987-1988, on an authoritarian eugenic and socially Darwinistic political philosophy and ideology, now ruled and dominated with a brutal iron fist under the watchful reign of Le Grand Roi Chalon-Arlay de la Fayette and La Grande Reine Geneviève de la Fayette (née Aumont) (i.e., the 'Founding Couple' or Le Couple Fondateur).

If you really want to you could just find some footage of it being raised and play it in reverse, so that you simulate the full vexillological experience of Brexit. :)

Not infecting other people with an illness generally isn't something that should be compensated.
