Yes. Xiaomi stores all their data on servers in the PRC, that the PRC government has free and open access to. No warrants, no judges.

You basically are giving your data to their secret police.
That is a much higher risk than getting a natural virus from it.

So what happens if I never set foot in the PRC again? Do I still risk the PRC government making my browser history public or no?

If you use their software the data still goes back to the PRC.
Regardless of where you live. The data is not restricted to your location.

I mean the PRC cannot arrest you but they can still steal your data, and if you have contacts in the PRC go at them.
I would say never use PRC software.

But a bit off topic.

Funding.

The head of WHO’s executive board is a Pakistani politician. Pakistan is owned by the PRC.
The director general is an Ethiopian politician. The PRC is the number one investor in Ethiopia.

Who is run by politicians from governments owned by the PRC.

The Director General made Mugabe a goodwill ambassador. Previous ones spent $1,000 a night on hotel rooms. This is the type of people running the thing.

Corrupt politicians from governments reliant on PRC money.

Regular border crossings I assume, particularly the rail and air connections.

With 16 major airlines having cancelled flights and now with nations closing their borders to China, it's important to recall that in 2017 tourism composed 17% of China's GDP. Likewise, Beijing has already extended the official Lunar New Year festivities by three days in an order to hopefully get things contained before everyone starts going back to work; LNE consumption is equivalent to the Christmas season in the West as far purchases and the like going, meaning the Chinese economy is taking a very big hit from this too. Soon, however, the situation will come to a head: Either the CCP will have to force/let workers go back to their jobs and risk increasing the spread of the virus or keep them home, which risks literally tearing their economy to pieces, particularly for SMEs.

Given the ongoing decline of the Chinese economy, this might very well be the nail in the coffin.

Doubtful, if this is anything like SARS then the virus eventually be contained or burn itself out by the end of the year and China will go back to business as usual.

The current death toll in China is 213, but I think that the true number is far higher than that.

It's January. The end of the year is in 11 months...

True. It will hit them in the short term, but they will fake the GDP numbers for the first quarters this year (assume the ones the currently use are not already faked when they probably are) and then corporate greed will get then back up and going again.

I don’t think it’s anything like SARS. The rate of infected persons is already higher than SARS was at this point in time. The virus has already been shown nearly impossible to contain except for extreme measures.

Plus the Chinese have been accused of both hiding the true number of infected people and the true death rate. This virus might very well be more deadly than we think.

This has already surpassed SARS and that caused $50 Billion in damage. Important to note that back then tourism and consumption weren't as large a percent of the Chinese GDP while, likewise, China itself was only 3% of Global GDP and now it is 16%. This isn't even getting into the effects of a prolonged manufacturing slump...

Given the PRC’s GDP numbers are probably faked, why would they not fake their health numbers too?

But say he is gaming with someone in Hong Kong, they mention politics...

Maybe you do not care you bought him spyware by that does not change what it is.
