No, opposing racism is not being an SJW. As someone who has witnessed actual racism (two black kids attacking an asian student, a young Jewish kid being accosted by racist skinheads, an Italian american guy referring to one of our school's best basketball players as a "nigger," and a girl threatening to deport my friend george back to our island of origin), it is admirable to fight bigotry.

I'm glad you can enumerate the racist incidents you have witnessed.

What is not admirable is crying wolf about racism when it isn't there or believing it's there because a foreign government said so. Attacking asian people because of COVID is not okay. Pointing out the chinese origin of COVID and pointing out how the CCP made a huge mistake is more than okay. If you wanna say "dont beat up asians because of COVID," then by all means go right ahead. But dont come after me for calling it "wuhan sickness," which it is.

So when known racists refuse to use formal terms for things and instead opt to use racially-charged language, this is not racism?
Is it not racism specifically because China said it is, or is there another reason that I am missing?

Trump is known for pushing racism toward black and brown people. I dont think hes doing that right now, as much as hes just unable to pronounce corona virus so he needs a simpler name. Not everyone calling it Wuhan flu is racist. In fact most probably are not.

He congratulated them on their 70th anniversary (70 years of hell for China), he said the Tiananmen square massacre had to happen, and he envied Xi for being president for life. Where is the proof though that this is being done to kick off some racial violence? I'm not denying that the Republicans have a history of being bigoted (Mexico is not sending it's best and whatever other junk they say), but right now it doesn't look to me like they're doing this to spur racism. They're probably only calling it that cause fearless leader did. Could it cause racism? Perhaps. Would they care if it did? I doubt it. But I dont think that is there goal.
