Huh? I don't smoke, I use my nicotine pouches, I quit two years ago. I'm just kinda saying like "yeah, cigs will do that to you" in reference to the already troubled lungs of older Italians.

I'm just saying that expecting current smokers to quit right now is probably not a feasible idea.

Global emergency? Gotta make sure the landlords are getting their money. This fucking country.

Business and transactions need to be continued as usual as far as possible. Otherwise it comes to a chainbreakdown which will in the end affect you as well in a negative way. And we dont want that.

Uh, people should still be paying rent? A lot of landlords don't outright own their properties, many choose to go as far as to lease them out from the developers themselves.
Rent assistance is crucial right now, as is the government offering income assistance to really any and all people below the middle class, but we shouldn't go as far as to say "don't pay your rent."

Yes, we know that you like people being robbed and stolen from for not being the right class.

The banks are offering this mortgage holiday. I don't think they're screwing themselves. Not in this instance anyway.Nakena wrote:

I'm confident that I can handle being negatively effected if it means renters in this country stop being made to line the pockets of their landlords at a this time of crisis.Major-Tom wrote:

Landlords are getting a break from their mortgage payments.
Tenants are not getting a break from their rent payments.
I think that's unfair.Bromagia wrote:Yes, we know that you like people being robbed and stolen from for not being the right class.
That would be nice, yes, but I think I'm being quite reasonable in thinking that when people who pay mortgages are getting a break then it is only fair for people who pay rent to also get the same break.

I remember running over to my local Kroger yesterday to get some dish washing soap, some water and some toilet and tissue paper.
- There was no soap.
- There was no water.
- And the entire aisle for toilet and tissue paper was completely fucking empty.
So then I tried Walmart a few blocks away.
- Same exact shit. My family's almost out of dish soap and drinking water.
Panic buying is nonsene.
