Okay the last part is again not really something easy to resolve. The Christians in the region on their own are not a significant force so we cannot really support them but we should express concerns and try to improve their lot, but again priorities are elsewhere.

And yes we do spend a lot on aid to Israel although it should be noted we have received some tangible benefits in return like shared intellectual property and research on missile defense technologies and a lot of that aid actually goes to subsidize our defense industry as they use it to buy weapons from our manufacturers as well. Which means a lot goes back to us.

But we should be stricter about the aid we send them to make sure we are getting adequate value in return.

You're a merchant. Afghanistan which your forces destroyed and razed to the ground and massacred the people gets less aid than Israel who have no need of help since judging by their advanced rich state. Can pretty much do well without you.

The province of Syria Palaestina was founded by the Romans after the Bar Kochba Revolt. The population was principally Jewish and Aramean with significant minorities of Arabs, Edomites, Greeks, and Romans. The Greeks had previously referred to the region as Palaestina and Syria but they lost control of it during the Maccabean Revolt, which was largely a clash between observant Jews and Hellenized Jews supported by the Seleucids.

Medieval Judaism, in much the same way as medieval Christianity and medieval Islam, borrowed quite liberally from Plato and Aristotle. I would recommend looking up Maimonides to see how Jewish and Hellenistic thought were reconciled.

Las Islas de Metanoia wrote:until the very time of David itself. David mind you, before becoming king of Israel after he was chased away by incumbent King Saul, fled to and was given sanctuary in Palestine his former enemy because they respected his warrior valor, and some Palestinians were part of the group who was with David when they attempted to go under the sewers of Jerusalem and then sneak into Saul's tent and leave a memento of their capacity to Saul.

The Greeks do not mention Palaestina prior to 500 BCE and David probably lived somewhere in the neighborhood of 900 BCE. The Philistines are hypothesized to have been one of the Sea Peoples, an eclectic and diverse group that hailed from across the Mediterranean. The Egyptians referred to a group of people called "Peleset." Culturally, we know that these people eventually adopted Aramaic and the worship of local deities. While some have argued that the early material culture, especially the presence of looms, indicates Mycenaean influence, genetic and linguistic features have suggested Luwian, Cretan, Sardinian, or even Iberian heritage. This is consistent with conjectures that the Sea Peoples were not a culturally or ethnically monolithic group and instead consisted of several waves of migrants likely fleeing a combination of natural disaster, climate changes, droughts, diseases, wars, and the breakdown of Trans-Mediterranean commercial networks. Calling them "Greek", especially given the distinction between the Dorians and the Mycenaeans, is reductionist and inaccurate.

Wow thank you for that information my kind Jewish Girl. You're a Hellenized Jew yourself since you are in a Sorority and Sororities are named after Greek Alphabets. It's good that you are here, I am reminded that Jews are individuals, not a hive mind and you're one of the coolest and hippest Jews I know and alot of Diaspora Jews are genuinely chill and intelligent people. Obviously I have. Although one common presentation of it is very wrong. But yes Israel would use their nuclear weapons against an existential threat. Their nuclear doctrine and ours are not that different.

But unlike Iran Israel was never a party to the NPT so it is not quite the same issue, for that and other obvious reasons such as that the Iranian regime has literally “death to America” as part of its ideology.

And we need to make friends with India. But India has nuclear weapons not authorized by the NPT. So that is an issue, but not the sole issue to base our foreign policy on.

Christian Palestinians, the oldest Christian community on earth, asked if they would forgive Israeli Occupation, most said yes!

And now look at the Jewish Israelis constantly desecrating Christian Holy Sites

Yet it's an official American policy to support Israel more than Palestine.

And there is still no easy way to resolve that.
We should raise the issue more often sure, but there is no easy answer.

And you are focusing on one issue. I mean Christian rights are an issue elsewhere like in India but we need India on our side.

Foreign policy is complex, dirty and nasty. It is no place for idealists and uncompromising moralists.

You can take ideals and morals into account BUT you have to compromise on them too. And get your hands bloody and filthy.

Although I do agree we need to reform our policies vis a vis Israel it is a complex issue.

I am not a merchant and I am in fact critical of US foreign policy which I would like to see reformed.
We did not “raze Afghanistan yo the ground”. It has been at war since 1978. A war we did not start but yes we intervened in periodically. Yes we destroyed somethings because war does that but we have not been one inflicting the most causalities. Afghans need to stop killing each other.

But again the nature of the aid is different, aid does not come out of just one program.
The aid to Israel is not to build schools like in Afghanistan.

Much of it goes into joint research programs we benefit from and so they can buy weapons from our manufactures.

Sure some aid to Afghanistan does go so they can buy weapons but they cannot provide any significant technology in return, again entering into a joint research project is a different sort of aid. Which is not really applicable to Afghanistan.

But anyways our foreign policy is of course not based entirely on Christian religious virtues of course.

Although we absolutely need to reassess and reform our policies towards Israel but again it is a rather complex issue, and not the most pressing right now when we have an existential threat from the PRC.
