It's the only explanation other than moustache-twirling shenanigans that I can find for some of the obvious baiters and gratuitous reporters on the left still being around while rightists are squished at the first sign of a reaction. And in my experience, the option assuming the moustache-twirling villain usually isn't accurate unless you're in a Disney movie.

It doesn't help that whenever there's a dispute the frustration tends to drift from legitimate grievances about the issue itself to whatabout dig-ups of the same historic moderation cock-ups over and over again in an effort to inflame people against the mods more generally. This doesn't make the mods super receptive and often results in crackdowns, more people being lost in pointless martyring, good nations being lost, and a bunch of spam puppets about how the mods love paedos.

This whole pattern just goes round and roune the same circles and as far as i can see everybody both ends up acting badly, and coming off worse for it.

however, 'reported to the mods!' requires a certain personality type, as does 'insult away and fuck the system' also require a certain personality type. because of this and also because NS has next to zero controls on baiting people, one type of personality always wins out over time, and that's why the forum is how it is today, rather than how it was in like - 2010, or even as late as 2015, when the quality of debating was much better and the forum more civil.

My view is that the Monarch holds the highest political authority, and thus holds responsibility over the wellbeing of the nation and acts to serve them to the best of their ability. All other parts of the government are just delegated powers in order to assist the Monarch in this aim. The person's obligation is to reciprocate the Monarch's service with loyalty, and to serve the nation in their own ability.
