Been doing some reading about Hamilton's political rivalry with Jefferson and their differences and the thought occurred to me, is there any point in trying to 'fit' your views in a Founders views and calling a 'Hamiltonian' or 'Jeffersonian' when they both lived in a completely different context?

Gen Y is consistently trending more liberal than their parents' were on the whole, and they don't even seem to be developing conservative views at all anymore. This is no thanks to our modern subversed institutions that they were raised on, of course.

One can relate to them if they are close enough. Names are meant to both describe and perhaps evoke a bit of something. They may have lived in a different context but some ideas and ideals transcend time & place.

That bulli was aimed at UMN, the patron saint of high-brow anime, unwanted fanfics, and selling your eldest two sons to the Ottoman governor for a tax exemption.

I have done many things in my life but I have never ever shorted Uncle Sam of his money! There are some lines you don't cross. Not paying Uncle Sam is one of those.

Notably, you should always pay Uncle Sam exactly what he’s owed under his rules, and not a penny more or less.

That’s my motto.

That’s because we’re all peasants. These Elites operate by different rules and believe themselves above the law.

Yes but the best criminals don't break the law but bend it in their favour and the rules in the US tax system are designed to do just that.

Pretty close. I met Dr E Micheal Jones yesterday, and his talk centered around how in the fifties we were well on our way to fixing the underlying problems western society has been experiencing but the boomers had to screw it up.

Pretty much. The 50s to early 60s were not a utopia, but seeing vast improvements in pretty much all areas and better than they had ever been. But instead of building on that, the boomers tore it all down.

So if UMN is the patron saint of collaboration with the Turks, does that make me the patron saint of the Maniots? The piracy, blood feuds, trying to start a crusade for 400 years?
