well no centrists tend to overlap between left and right and oppose major shifts to the left or right wing. I support everything except overlap and support extremes from every side of the spectrum.

From my experience I would say most NSers have the ideology of count dankula. Right leaning but liberterian and they don't want the government intruding on them. Then of course there's the authoritarian right like Sai, and the libertarian left like Kowani, and the tankies like the guys up the page

Religion - apathetic agnostic. Believe whatever makes you happy and brings you peace, just don't shove it down my throat.

Politics - somewhere between classical liberalism and right libertarianism. I believe civil liberties are an inherent right. I believe the government has the responsibility to tax their citizens to maintain public spaces, utilities, and infrastructure. Governments are also responsible for their people's safety and are well in their rights to maintain police, fire, military, and medical services. I am in favor of basic universal healthcare with the option to buy into private insurance for better care. Governments should have as minimal a presence in business as possible aside from preventing monopolies, ensuring federal and environmental policies are adhered to, and the like.

Economics - Free market capitalist. Huge fan of behavioral economics, especially on the micro scale. Realizes and accepts that while laissez-faire would work in a perfect world, we live in an incredibly imperfect one and that New Keynesian theories are best for the current macroeconomic environment.

As I grew older I started moving away from the left and more to the center. Now I am pretty much equally put off by both the left and the right.

I call it Democratic Cyberneticism, a spinoff of the Cyberneticist school of thought which was purged from the Soviet Union in the mid 40s. Allande's Chile (before Pinochet) followed a proto-cybernetic form of government.

My political ideology differs from that of Kaltovar and historical Cyberneticism in some important ways, mainly mine is a lot less authoritarian (because although I trust myself with absolute power, I don't trust other people with it.)

I would like society to be run by a hybrid of a democratically elected government (elected by Ranked Choice Voting), scientists, and intelligent machines. I would like for there to be a Universal Basic Income, and I would like for as much of the business of production and labour to be done by robots and intelligent machines as is possible.

I think we should strive to eliminate the slave class (the workers), in the sense that we should free them from their work by having machines do it. People should exist to experience joy and make new and interesting experiences for other people.

I want to integrate the more complex and banal parts of our government directly into computers, like the interest rate and subsidies given to different companies for example. Anything that would be best operated by a self teaching neural network SHOULD be.

I would also like to have a strong military so that this can't be destroyed by outside forces.

I believe in the importance of a country holding it's own PRODUCTION POWER, which is more important (in economic terms) than anything except perhaps access to raw resources. A country that can not produce goods can not ensure it's independence, and to this end robotic production will be very important.

Finally, I think going into space and exploiting it's resources is physically necessary for the survival of our species (along with reducing our population dramatically in the short term).

In many ways, Bernie Sanders is in fact a centrist. His Medicare for All proposal is a compromise between capitalist health care and a national health care system. Bernie Sanders isn't proposing nationalizing all the hospitals and having medical personnel be public employees, which itself is not an extreme position - there are several countries in the world that have nationalized health care. Medicare for All would merely be a national insurance which pays privately owned and employed practices and hospitals.

Although I agree with what you seem to mean, that it is not an UNREASONABLE position, I disagree that it's not extreme. What I mean is, it seems to be the most extreme view one could hold on public/private healthcare in the direction of public healthcare.

If you don't view it as extreme (which is separate from unreasonable), could you provide an example of an extreme position one could take on the pro public healthcare side?
