Still love how these morally depraved, unintelligent animals think I'm the retard. That's funny my man cause I don't remember asking nor giving a fuck.

Lonely. I value others really strongly and see their strengths more often than they themselves do and I really need my friends.

I get to spend the rest of my life being hated and loathed for doing no wrong.

They definitely loathe us. To them we're all Rainman at best and Adam Lanza at the worst.

Either way, its not true and its simply a scapegoat.

Completely false and based on zero actual evidence.

Yeah I think a lot of that music thing came about with Columbine - completely avoiding the fact that there was no evidence to suggest that the shooters were actually fans of the band (though they were fans of KMFDM and Rammstein).

I've actually had this stereotype once before, mainly because on the bus I tend to just listen to music (which is generally metal) rather than socialise. The person was most likely joking (they usually are to be honest) but it does annoy me a little

I listen to both rap and metal, which is a bad combo because thanks to that now people think I'm a gangster school shooter, or maybe an emo hood.

Hmmm looks interesting. Shall have a listen to it at some point :p

I do listen to a bit of rap as well but not as long as I have listened to metal - then again most people presume I listen to classical music unless I say otherwise

honestly people in this country are so ignorant regarding the gun violence stereotypes in the us because its basically a non-issue here that they probably wouldnt bat an eye if i came to school in an oversized black trenchcoat and started habitually humming the nobodies

not gonna try my luck with that though lol

Autism Speaks is literally the worst autism charity ever. I've grown to despise them over the years.

To be honest, I'm not surprised seeing one of the charities merged to form it was called 'Cure Autism Now'.

If my autism was cured, would I even be the same person?

So mild that no one would know i have autism. Only thing that may be a symptom is my obsession with certain jokes or memes, like my joke about the Albanian police.

Idk. It's hard for me to separate what is the autism and what is just my personality.

it is a part of your personality. you're not your autism, you're the consciousness/awareness that you have within you.

don't make your autism however small it is the forefront of your identity because that's stupid

If people can't spot "traditional" traits, you won't notice much. It would probably help if autism drives your anxiety. Now a couple kids up my street? They would definately change. The girl is a highly talented artist who is a non-communicative. The brother communicates and has all the traditional signs. Hand movement, rocking, stressed by loud noises, etc.....

We are a long way from a cure so not worth worrying/thinking about it at this point.

He's a singer who is associated with Tyler the Creator. He was gay but didn't come out for many years.

What I mean with the comparison is my autism isn't remotely the main part of my identity. Not only do I not go "hi I have autism" to people, but I'm very dead set on telling no one I have it unless they have it too.
