But yes, Vatican II could be considered the Church adapting to a time where people have begun to properly see each other as people.

That doesn't make sense.

Do you believe in flying elephants? Is calling someone a "flying elephant", to be intollerant?

Just because I don't believe in the existence of any deity, does not mean someone else is being intolerant by calling another religion or culture demonic.

But what does demonic means?
Why is it a bad word?

Ironically, you are doing what you are criticizing Sundiata of doing. (which he isn't actually doing)

If you want to show off more of your protestant cultural heritage, that's on you.

The point started with you getting shocked at the usage of the word "demonic", which you have failed yet to define.
What do you understand "demonic" to mean? Is it just a bad bad word? Like poppy, and other bad words kids should not say? Is it nothing else for you?

What does "demonic" means? Since you got offended or wary of it, you should know. Do tell.

Because I base things on actually history, not in the bible.
The bible has it's place, but it is not solely a historical text.

I mean, anything that is not in the bible it technically Pagan, due to what the term Pagan actually means.

I am not Protestant though. I'm an atheist.

Because there is no such thing as demonic powers.
But when one religion calls another religion demonic, that's when thing get stupid.

You're just wasting everybody's time. Clearly adherents of a religion are going to believe the tenants of their religion. Clearly you won't as an atheist.

Did we uncover some ground braking new idea here? No? this thread isn't for you to wax superior for being an atheist. If you're not going to actually engage people's beliefs in good faith, then move along.

He said that because Christianity professes to be the one true faith, and that all other religions are false. Satan as the "he who deceives the world" fills the role in many lines of thought as the source of all falsehoods, to include false religious beliefs.

Essentially if it is not of God, then it is of the devil. Er go, any religion not the one true religion, is of the devil.

And what's worse is that I know that you both know this. If you want to have an actual good faith dialectic on the origin, affects, importance, controveray etc etc, of this line of thinking then by all means. But it states right in the fucking op that this thread is not for tilting at religious players. If you can't respect our faith, then jog right the hell on.

Gremlins don't exist for example, but calling someone a gremlin could be seen as offensive and intolerant. So yes, fantasy things can be used to offend and be intolerant.

Example time:

Now, imagine there is a religion which believes in Gremlins. Gremlins in that religion are defined with specific traits and qualities. That's definition1 of "Gremlin".
Then, there is what you said. The generic usage of "Gremlin" by people who don't believe in Gremlins, which could be seen as offensive and intolerant, for reasons unknown. That's definition2 of "Gremlin"

Sundiata used "demonic" by definition1 of demonic.
Celritannia has been going on how definition2 of "demonic" is intollerant.

Ok. We don't care for definition 2. That's only on you.
You people getting your pants dirty for definition2 of "demonic", are failing to grasp there exist a definition1 of "demonic".
