Growing up, I've been to some churches that believed that yoga invited demonic possession.

I personally think so.

As someone who, at one point in my life, experienced what I definitely felt to be demonic obsession (not possession), I can safely say that neither Harry Potter, nor D&D, nor Halloween, nor video games, nor LotR caused me to feel that demons were threatening my soul. Rather, all of these things are fun and engaging, and the most important thing about reading any book or participating in any celebration is to do so with awareness and discernment.

It's just stretching.

Sure, it started in a religious context, but most people don't have a connection to that.

Yoga isn’t demonic, but traditionally the practice stemmed from certain spiritual exercises in Hindu. Many of the positions are meant to represent certain tenants of Hinduism and the activation of chakras, though I imagine Suri might be able to explain that better than I can. Most American people doing it who are NOT Hindu do it because it looks fashionable and feels good, and a lot of yoga instructors are not devout Hindus. You can always just do Pilates, which are almost the same thing.

Banning yoga seems a little far, given many Hindus genuinely use it as a part of religious practice.

This is just something I chanced across whilst browsing Reddit, and thought you all might get a laugh out of it. I find it particularly hilarious that someone would think that reading The Lord of the Rings, a book series by a deeply Christian author who consciously incorporated Christian theological concepts into his work, might bring about demonic possession.

I got three. And I definitely don't think Lord of the Rings is demonic.

I tick off eight as well(vegetarianism, LOTR, Video Games{NS counts here too, so none of you get off with 0}, Harry Potter, Halloween, Fornication, Rock music, Heavy Metal). And thinking about taking up an ninth at some point (yoga).

Tbf, I think the twilight films do belong on the list.

Does anyone feel spiritual attack through the game? There are players RPing with demonic names and satanic imagery. Their presence normalizes a corrupting and evil influence. I'm thinking of leaving cause it just seems too prevalent right now. Just sharing my thoughts. Hi to all.
