Like most of these public figure social media accounts, this is probably not run by Pope Francis himself.

Yeah it looks like that was an accident. Pope Francis is 83, it's understandable he probably mis-clicks things at times.

And the intern running his Instagram is like 75% getting fired.

Not true. And regardless, he doesn't have the power to make it not so anyway.

Surprisingly enough, tabloids tend not to give the most comprehensively true information.

This is an interesting graph.

Restrictions on religion among the world’s 25 most populous countries. (2018 data)

Surprising to see China, Iran, Turkey, with low social hostility.
May be an artefact of the lack of significant minorities to hate on, and the government restrictions already removing the possible targets of hostility.

France is just sad to look at. In the same sector of Bangladesh.

I think they misunderstand the fact that there's no such thing as atheist rules or belief. We're not like a divided faith, we're no faith at all.

It was self explicative, if the whole paragraph had been read. Hard to communicate with one-line-readers.

Here what you both missed:
Protestantism exists when it's necessary to attack someone or something, but disperses into dust specks when anything is said about it. Like the atheists do.

It's about group integrity, one second there is a whole circlejerk about generalizing what atheists do better than X, the second any critic is directed back, the reactions 99% of the times are: "oh, but atheists don't really exist, so you can't fault something which doesn't exist."
Fat chances, intellectual cheaters. Atheism, and atheists, can be criticized like anything else.

Japan looks like it did a full 180, considering (because relevant example is relevant) the history of Japanese Christendom.

The Archregimancy wrote:The Roman Catholic Church is still easily the largest single denomination, and still easily the largest of the four churches with the best claim to apostolic succession; but you can make that point without functionally halving the membership of both the Orthodox Church and non-Chalcedonian Oriental Orthodoxy.

Yeah, but can the Russian Orthodox Church and the, Ukranian Orthodox Church, to pick a specific example, be said to be "united" ?

Sure, administrative unity isn't as important as doctrinal unity, the latter being much more important. (unless the administrative disunity also influences doctrinal division)
So you can have it, in the case of the orthodox and the other original churches, for the point i was making, there was no need to also include administrative unity.

The "beyond nationalisms" part is still relevant though.

Yeah, Japan was really a surprise. Both low government restrictions and low social oppression.
I'm curious though, if there is some indirect relation of those two, with the very low crime rate in Japan. Of how there, the social structure is already very traditional, which may have played a role in the scoring.

That graph only holds the 25 most populous nations, so there may be other interesting cases which didn't show up there.
I didn't read the full report yet, so no idea if there is a full table with all nations.
