I wouldn't be too scared of 2020 though. We're not at the point of economic collapse or starvation, at least in the developed world.

My mind often has questions like "Will there be an economic collapse in 2020?", "Will I live past 30 or 40?", "Will food shortages begin en masse next year?", "Will there finally be a blue ocean event?". The uncertainty of whether I'll live another year kills me. I'm stuck in a headspace of constant worry and despair and I have no one IRL to talk to about this collapse stuff. I see young kids laughing or crying and inside I feel sorrow, I don't want those small kids to suffer so much. 2020 might be the global wake up call, but I fear, and I'm probably right, that call will be ignored and business will continue as "usual".

“Let us be realists here; the only way we ever are going to fix our current situation if our people start relying less on the State and more on the free market. The free market has been destroyed only because greenlords rule the countries of the world! I’m looking at you, California.”
For the last time, the world is not going to end. You are not going to save the world; all you people do is annoy everyone else and make them miserable with your economic ignorance and ridiculous alarmism. Get over it.

On my island we have been in a severe recession for over one decade. Got hit really hard by an hurricane. Have a financial junta telling the island government what they should spend. Not many good jobs. People leaving the island. But in the end, lets party - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvWrDOxtMbU
