For and against Suicide

What are some reasons for and against someone committing suicide.
I have a few ideas but I want to hear what you think...

Against: People tend to be very angry when you decide to up and kill yourself without telling them. It's really a hassle.

Believe me, I killed myself once, and it's not all it's cracked up to be.

To commit suicide for any other reason is the most selfish thing anyone can do, its the ultimate statement of loathing for everyone else and is tantamount to saying that no matter how badly anyone suffers you are the only person who matters and/or nobody has ever suffered as badly as you.

Suicide is commited for any number of reasons. A persons life is depressing, they are in a condition of continues pain and so on or they are just tired of life. Reasons for commiting suicide: Whatever the person going to kill themself wants. Reasons against commiting suicide: What ever the person not going to kill themself wants. A blank question like "reasons for" is impossible to actually answer.

For: I suppose if you have some kind of terminal illness or developing disability and want to decide when you die, or want to die before you can no longer care for yourself. If its just because your sad or lonely then you should try getting drunk or stoned instead the hangover is less permanent.

Against: If you change your mind while your hurtling towards the pavement, bleeding out or while the bleach or pills are burning a path through your organs, killing you slowly and painfully then your pretty much screwed. If you have no friends or family to be thoroughly devastated with your untimely death then you should think about the poor bugger who has to clean up the mess you will make.

Against: except for te first reason, even if you do not see it you can usually make better of the situation.
