Other things I say perhaps. But not that one.
And yet America should not be the world's police. It always results in total hegemony for fascism, as well as the rise of even more genocidal regimes. We've been down this road before.

Not really no. As debased and corrupt as Europe is, it would be worse if not for American intervention.
The rest of the world has similar issues and needs similar repairs, and we must also fix Europe's current backslide into barbarism.

That doesnt mean we should be the police force of the world and slam the door on immigration and refugees

Of course not. Immigration, and taking advantage of the opportunities afforded therein, is a time honored American tradition. This has nothing to do with Refugees.

Ok but haven't you been saying we should be the police of the world and not allow in new refugees?

No. I said that if we allow in refugees we should...
A.) Take action as a nation to end the circumstances of their exile.
B.) Expect those refugees of able body to contribute to that national effort.
Or in short terms. Dictator starts pogrom-ing people with blonde hair, we accept refugees, and then we overthrow the dictator and set up a government under our control and answerable to the USA.
Then, the refugees who weren't of able body return home to their newly de-dictatorized homes.
Refugee =\= Immigrant.

How about no? some of these countries have no opposition. Eritrea is a prime example as is Belarus. I would rather not spend money on wars we dont have to fight.
Who are you to tell them they have to rebel against their government? Why not just let them come the US for better opportunities and if they chose to eventually become citizens let them.

That’s a load of horseshit. Every country has some form of opposition. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist, otherwise you wouldn’t have repressive regimesWho are you to tell them they have to rebel against their government? Why not just let them come the US for better opportunities and if they chose to eventually become citizens let them.
Because we can’t support the entire world. Hell we barely can support our own people and we regularly fuck over American workers. What makes you think we can support millions of refugees?
