It's a shame that I haven't found one news source that is completely unbiased. I watch BBC News a lot and I see the BBC website often but the BBC seem to be biased somewhat even though they claim to be impartial...well they're funded by The UK Government so there probably is bias, I don't think they would want to report news that would upset their own Government otherwise their funding would obviously go down.

I am curious what people’s primary news sources are. Mine is ABC. I watch the local news almost every night at 11 and sometimes earlier at 5 and 6. I also occasionally watch CNN. I also usually watch This Week on Sunday’s on ABC.

I like my news the old fashioned way. Someone sitting at a desk reading me the news. No pundits, no analysis no ticker at the bottom of the screen.

I also read USA Today frequently.

What is your primary news source?

No one primary news source. I try to identify the most objectively factual news sources and than categorize them by inherent bias to get a reflection of the socio-political contention within that group. I used to catogorize them into Unfortunately in the last few years, it has been difficult to separate the truth-tellers from the narrative talkers in general. I do not like American Neoconservative or what is called Alt-RightO news sources (those that use Leftist means to obtain right wing ends) in particular. I try to stick with Paleoconservative (American Sense) and Objectivist sources when I can for right of centre news.

Currently for the US;

Leftist/Socialist/Statist sources:
PBS/NPR, NYT, Atlantic, Daily Kos, Snopes etc. Since most establishment sources are Progressivist/Leftist and they all seem to parrot each other, I don't have any one particular. For specific topics I use Google (whose algorithm puts Leftist information to the forefront). For a left leaning news aggregator I use Drudge and Google search itself.

For Conservative (Classical Liberal), Traditional American, or and/or Libertarian:
Fox News Talking Heads (Not the Fox News Reports itself), Brietbart, WWD, SRN, Free Republic, Foundations like Cato, Reason, Heritage, FEE, Mises.org etc; and use Good Gopher for particular topics. For a news aggregator I use Whatfinger.

For satire and lampoonery:
Onion News and Babylon Bee

For way out there hysteria of the deranged variety:
CNN or MSNBC (Lunatic Left) and Inforwars (Paranoid Right).

For International News
i try to locate/isolate the actual news source itself and determine its veracity, and use the most closest media that seems objective enough for the means. For example a border conflict between Israel and Lebanon, I would consult Isreali Media Outlets, as well as Lebanese outlets. Then cross reference it with BBC, various US State Department reports,etc.

ABC World News With David Muir, religiously. I watch it twice a week. Of all the ABC programs, its leftist bias is the most subtle and, if you inform yourself with counterpoints, the easiest to fight. I consider it valuable and essential to being informed.'

One America News is my primary televised news source when ABC World News is not on.

I don't watch Fox News unless my grandfather has it on. Tucker Carlson has too much economic authoritarianism, bleeding heart stuff (ESPECIALLY muh opioid crisis) and informality (among other things) to really be on my "MUST WATCH" list. He's sharp and speaks the truth, sure, but he has his really grating, annoying moments. Unlike Bill O'Reiley, whose pompousness added to his prestige, Tucker Carlson has that "champagne populist" attitude that's too emotional for my tastes.

That's why Bill O'Reiley was infinitely better (calling a woman "hot chocolate" is sleazy and dishonorably, but not an offense worthy of termination of employment.) I prefer Waters World and "Normie" talk show hosts like Lou Dobbs. Again, though, I don't watch Fox News on my own.

Behind that, and consumed multiple times a day, are rightist Internet blogs, newsletters, commentary, etc. that you'd expect Boomers to sign up to receive. If being a Boomer is a mindset, I live it.

I also follow the headlines of the local newspaper, which is by far the most impartial publication I look at.

To my knowledge, the only overtly and openly leftist source that I am currently subscribed to is the Center for Public Integrity. I also follow Marianne Williamson wherever I can, and not just to laugh or enjoy the madness. I consider her a legitimately honorable and righteous person whose out-of-the-box ideas and literal Gnosticism to be refreshingly in good faith. She touched my heart, not my mind.

Despite the fact that it is absolutely propaganda and must be taken with pounds of salt, I have a soft spot for the Russian Today (RT) and Sputnik (through RT) propaganda outlets. I also like the Victims of Communism Memorial Trust.

Lastly, there's Villager News, which has never been biased in its existence. Nor has it been wrong.

For international news I usually read CNN, BBC, New York Times and Washington Post. Sometimes I also read Vice.
For national news Sindonews, CNN Indonesia, BBC Indonesia, and sometimes Kompas or Tempo are my favourite news sites.
I don't watch TV, so I gain my information from those sites.

i don't usually use the news, but when I do, I mostly trust local sources or government sites. Scientific articles are good too. I don't bother with the mainstream corporate trash.

My absolute favorite news source is The Economist. I subscribe to the magazine and online subscription. I also read from the Cato Institute and occasionally the Center for A stateless society.

But as far as daily news goes, I just go to my newsfeed and read whatever is there. So for example, I read about the impeachment inquiry from the LA Times today, despite the fact that I don’t read the LA Times very often at all.

With the exception of The printed Version of the economist and my local newspaper/Local news on tv all the news I get Is online.

Gives me the big picture info like terror attacks in Pakistan and obituaries of important people. It has to be doublechecked obviously.

Fairly reliable. I use them to confirm stories I get from the other sources.

Local Newspaper
Where else would I learn about local matters? The tv local news is far too national in scope and always purveys sensationalism with a touch of political bias. Plus it is locally owned.

Voice of America
I just like to hear what the feds want the rest of the world to hear. TBH it is solid reporting on most topics.
