Eh, people like weird food combos, just roll with it.

Otherwise you'll be forcing me to defend shrimp and nutella sandwiches... :p

Same. Not as bad as yours, but I do often have to look at my hands to determine which way is which.

Ooh, I just thought of some more weird little things about me:

I was in the third grade before I could tie my shoes.

I think I may have some sort of auditory processing issue or something. I can’t remember things people tell me very well (I can’t be given a verbal list of more than a couple of tasks or else I’ll either forget some of them or mix them up e.g. throw away the fork and put the paper plate in the dishwasher). I literally cannot follow along with audiobooks or radio shows at all (also why I don’t do podcasts). I can’t filter sounds very well.

My memory for visual information however? Fantastic. When I was in high school, my theatre club was competing and one of the actors in our play didn’t show up and didn’t tell us ahead of time. I memorized all of her lines (about 12 or so) in the span of about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, we lost the competition.

So.. there's not much research on this but one theory is it's something to do with ears, your ears have something to do with balance, some fluid that when you turn your head imparts direction to the brain, and if there's an issue there you don't naturally process direction - however I'm very balanced, I windsurf for one, so I'm not sure. However ears do more than just hear and are central to direction so maybe related.

My preferred theory is that it's passed from the mother - my mother has the same issue - and there's a key part of development, between about 2-3 years old, where if it's not embedded in your mind you never learn, and a mother who doesn't instinctively know confuses the child.

One issue is if I'm in a car with my mother giving directions where I'll say turn right and she'll turn left and then say 'did you say right?' and I'm like 'well I meant left anyway..'

..and in the back my father silently screams.

I mean there's the fact that I'm obsessed enough with Nuclear science that a friend gave me an antique 'faux nuclear pellet' thing that was passed out back in the day to advertise the potential for America's atomic future.

My longest toe is longer than my shortest finger. Apparently this is not common, but I think that my toes appear short.
I can also relatively quickly convert smaller numbers (under about 18010) to different bases (base 2 to base 12).
Oh, anyone else get sunburnt while driving in the afternoon?
Other weird stuff for the possible identity theft robot who will not find me: I have forgotten over 200 digits of pi and have learned esperanton (Saluton, mi scipovas paroli esperante flue) and have started to learn and stopped for various reasons (free site broke, other language class mandatory, laziness) three other languages.

My dad's moustache is that way (but almost the same colour as my mom's and my hair, strawberry blonde), but his hair is darker (still not quite jet black) than the pictures of yourself excluding when you dyed your hair black.

I think a sign that I'm comfortably out the norm was the fact that I didn't realize the OP was written by Lunatic Goofballs, and I thought that he was long gone from being embedded in mud.

Ah, nuclear science. It's like chemistry, but fun.

Hundreds of people recognize me, who I don't know at all. People nod or smile at me; I'm a local character apparently.

At least it seems like hundreds. Perhaps it's only 10 and I keep forgetting their faces?

My actual peculiarities aren't anything to be proud of, so I think I'll just say "lots".

I remember your various incarnations, Bunnysauarus, Aialalialali or whatever, but then you might remember me better as Barringtonia.

I remember you both! Actually I remember most of the names in this thread.

In real life I am terrible with names, particularly common ones like John, but I think it's some kind of clash in my brain trying to remember a face and a name simultaneously. Online is no problem ... Bob ...

A liked snack of mine is buttered white bread dipped in tomato sauce. Dipped in. Not spread on. The difference is crucial.

Well my head hair is a deep black, as well as that facial hair, but every now and then a red hair appears.

I'm getting into OJ Simpson conspiracy theories. I still think OJ was the killer but I'm starting to suspect that he had accomplices.

Or an accomplice at least, I remember the idea he commissioned someone to steal back jewellery and it all went wrong.. hence he was certainly around but may not have plunged the knife. I vaguely remember someone confessing to this, and they had a white van similar to the one seen outside.
