I drink Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea, without sugar or milk because I usually drink tea without them.

Moved away from black tea recently, although this is mostly due to poor reliability of access to milk. Still will have a Lapsang occasionally though as it's best without milk. As I grow a lot of herbs, I've become more accustomed to using them, especially mint and lemon balsam.

I like green tea the most, followed by jasmine and teh talua. Though....the latter isn't really a tea, but it's still related.

I've a question for y'all. Do you prefer sugar in your tea, or not?

Lipton shall not pass through my door.

Currently I have mostly Twinings, Whittard, and Fortnum & Mason at home. Plus some other weirdish Chinese brands.

Coffee is an infusion of ground, roasted seeds of Coffea Arabica (the good stuff) or Coffea Canephora (the shitty stuff).
Tea is an infusion of dried and most often oxidised leaves of Camellia Siniensis.

Tea generally has no caffeine, in fact I drink it before bed everynight.
Tea also sooths the throat and is good at relaxing someone.
Coffee is bitter and wakes you up.

But on another note, it no longer tastes like weirdly-tasting water once you add sugar to it. If you drink it without sugar, then you've got a problem with taste.

Lipton tastes sugary enough as is.

On it's own. Compared to real tea, it's quite sweet.

Well, excuuuse me if we don't have the money to get great big bags of tea leaves & make it ourselves, and have the equipment to do so.

I'm not angry - but the wording of that sentence is just a little bit of an irritant.

Green and rooibos tea from the Spain! best

Israeli Free Nations wrote:I saw the coffee discussion, and I thought I'd give this a go for the more.....ahem.......formal of us out there.
Personally I get my tea from a shop in Ireland.
Every year either I go or my grandda ships me a box of Irish tea bags.
I also have a fondness for mint tea.
I don't usually put milk in (unless I'm in a bad mood) and I put 3-5 spoons of sugar in.

Gunpowder tea with mint and a lot of sugar because that is the way to drink marrocan mint tea.
My other teas I drink without any sweetener or milk. Unless my throat is sore, then I'll drink ceylon tea with honey.

Jasmine tea is quite fine. Great for sipping while reading.

I've been drinking Moroccan mint without sugar. Is that not the way it is generally prepared in it's native land?

Traditional Moroccan mint tea is really sweet.

I love all sorts of tea personally. Moroccan mint (since its been brought up) is very high tier. English breakfast and Earl grey as well, but if you have it with sugar you are weak. There's this european one called Christmas tea (The de Noel) which I'm absolutely loving, but also can't go wrong with Chai, Thai tea, Green (Jasmine > Matcha any day), and ooh also bubble tea is nice if I'm feeling unhealthy.
