We Republicans have a different take on it, this impeachment process will back fire on the Democrats in the end, and they have chosen to go down with the Democrats ship.

Politically of course, the Democrats partisan impeachment process against President Trump. In the end will back fire on the Democrats. Helping President Trump win reelection in 2020.

Since being targeted by President Trump Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and his family have been placed under 24 hour protection by the US Army, and may be moved to an Army base for further security.

Think about that. A US Army officer and his family are not safe in the United States because he's being attacked by his own Commander in Chief. The danger isn't ISIS or Al Qaeda, it's American citizens, spurred on by the President.

Ifreann, I don't think President Trump is going to send his mob to hurt the Proud Honorable LT Col Alexander Vindman, who by his testimony proved he wanted to influence US Foreign Policy to his views not President Trump. At least Lt Col Alexander Vindham practically testified President Trump did not do anything wrong, nothing he testified was damaging to President Trump.

He he did not say he didn't do anything wrong. Sondland said there was a quid pro quo. Are you even watching or reading then testimony or just reading and hearing what you want to hear because anything Trump says must be taken as gospel? But im sure you'll say I take anything Democrats say the same way which isnt true.

The whistleblower pointed out facts. Those facts have been proven by other people and other means. The whistleblower is not an accuser, just pointed out worrisome facts using protected channels. The accusers (the only ones who can be) are the people through the medium of the Congress. They are the accusers. Who cares about the whistleblower. The term has been villinized in some circles simply for creating a villain and a conspiracy to yell about. There's no way the two things are related. The stock markets are all robots now. Some number probably shifted and all the robots did the same thing at once. Until the dive becomes a trend day to day news about the stock market is just checking in on how the robots feel.

He's going to be damaged regardless.

There are no limits on the post, and she's standing for another term for Congress, so no.

But wasn’t it part of the negotiations that the democrats agreed to re-elect her as speaker on the condition that it would be her last time running ? Or should I revaluate my sources ?

Which won't happen. Even if we could convict Trump, we wouldn't impeach Pence because it would look like we were trying to purge the Republicans, and that would do much more harm than good.

Both Trump and Pence, if they are both impeach, would have separate votes: it wouldn't happen at the "same time" per say. Pence would be temporarily President unless he was removed in a slightly later vote.

Which won't happen. Even if we could convict Trump, we wouldn't impeach Pence because it would look like we were trying to purge the Republicans, and that would do much more harm than good.

I have deliberately kept my small number of posts in this thread to either answering factual queries on process and historical precedent, or encouraging Miami to follow forum etiquette.

But following Ambassador Sondland's ongoing damning testimony - testimony which, it bears repeating, comes from a major Republican donor to the President's inauguration, who owes his ambassadorial role to his generosity to the President - there can no longer be any question as to whether the President did anything wrong.

The only real question at this point is whether he's going to get away with it.

I strongly disagree and doubt this is going to be the Democrats smoking gun that will take down President Trump. But as I have predicted I think President Trump will win reelection during the 2020 elections with the help of the Democrats partisan impeachment process.
