Steel is really fucking heavy, and not very valuable by weight. Wouldn't you need a paved road (and border crossing) to get any worthwhile amount of it in?

My theory is that Trump just did what he does sometimes, a non sequitur on the subject of Canada, and really it's all meant to stop Canadians with their viruses.

I have considered this. However, the group of posters we're talking about take great leaps to defend Trump against criticism, without ever criticising him in what they deem to be a proper way. So, having considered it, I have disregarded that possibility.
