Lol what does that even mean?

her job is to promote culture, particularly bringing up the the indigenous cultures of Bolivia, and the last bit is working to combat traditional attitudes about "a woman's place" (and possibly working against gender based violence, which is apparently worse in Bolivia than any Latin American country

Sounds like an empty position

Not really. Culture Ministries are actually pretty important in most countries, they work on exporting art, media, and culture around the world whilst ensuring artists are properly funded domestically.

Yesterday's funeral was the perfect representation of everything wrong with Argentina. The Hooligan culture is poison there, and journalists just make it worse.

The Mrxican Senate has removed Presidential Immunity, which prevents the President from being charged for any crime save Treason.

It just needs to be approved of by 17 local legislatures to become part of the Constitution.

Well, I'm sure he can get in, though there's no polling yet to show how everyone's doing.

In the meantime, another vote next week....and I'm not going to project anything. It's the Venezuelan Congressional vote, and we all know that it will be a sham not worth mentioning except to lambast how much of a sham it is.

I know its said as a joke (at least at first). But a guy with the factual and formal power that Cabello has should just quit joking for a while.

I mean... does anybody think Cabello is a decent human being? He's been accused of embezzlement, extortion, and money laundering at a time when many Venezuelan citizens are starving to death due to policies that his buddies implemented. He was personally involved in many of the key moments that led to the establishment of the Bolivarian dictatorship under first Chavez and then Maduro. He's been accused of accepting bribes and engaging in drug-trafficking. Him playing the buffoon is only marginally better than a butcher like Idi Amin playing the buffoon, and I wouldn't buy it for a second.

No, but by the looks on both the video and social media, there is at least a dozen or so who are willing to vouch for him. Venezuela is just depressing right now.

I don't know enough about Argentine taxation law to say whether capital flight is a realistic threat.
For European countries, for example, it is. Intrinsically so.
But here in the US, it only is because of a deliberate underfunding of the IRS. If we were to fix that, then it ceases to be.

Difficult to say, it's never really happened before in Argentina, at least not in the modern democratic era.
