And what's the alternative? Forcing them to stand? That is arguably infinitely more disrespectful to said people who fought for the freedoms we have today.

Why would anybody stand and take a pledge they don't agree with?

Enforced nationalism isn't disrespectful to people who fought for freedom. You heard it here first.

Alternatively, you don't need to bother moving anywhere, because you can support or not support any nation you want in the US.

Why would we stand for an anthem we don't agree with?

Oh you are doing that weird thing again where you make some shit up regarding what people are saying and going off on weird tangents. Alright. I'll not bother discussing this with you if that's the game you are going to play.

Nope...when i was in school i never stood for the pledge. If men can hold there political beliefs in the face of hitlers armies then surely you cant expect to make people forget that they dont believe in america. Standing for the pledge is solely reserved for white males any one else either hasn't picked up a history book or simply doesnt care. Needless to say you cant force someone to take a pledge...it defeats the spirit of the pledge if its forced.

The flag has only upheld the rights of white males....therefore anyone else should really think twice about standing for it.
Im not white so i wouldnt dare stand for it. If i were white i probably would....i mean "what have you done for me lately?"

White males were pretty much the only people protected by this country. You've heard of the 3/5 compromises? Women didn't gain a right to vote nationally until 1919.
