Let's be honest - all of us, regardless of where one might stand politically, know some current or historical head of government we could just as easily replace by a potato and call it a day without finding it particularly horrible. ^^
Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)

Sully not the name of the noble potato by comparing the spud with those specific human beings.

Funny you mention that. I check my YouTube and find a delightful little musical number about the French Revolution.

On the bright side, I don't have to do surgery, and I can still type fine, so that's good.

On the humorous side, picture someone that has the heaviest accent imaginable, and that you have trouble understanding them, maybe for like 60% of the time. Multiply that person by 20, and you have me!

I'm......not sure how to respond to that. I just searched for 'retainers' in google and a picture of someone wearing braces came out?
Good luck with that Val.

Oh yeah, they are indeed braces. Well, technically. They are the things that you wear after you got your dental braces removed. It's to keep the teeth straight and all.

That's true. The braces can't be escaped and I am fine with them anyway, but the retainer? I did it because the surgery was not worth it. I mean, enduring one month of pain with a chance of having a partial numbness on the jaw... all that to fix the teeth arrangements a little?

I made an informed choice after all the discussion and was like, "Nah, Doc, sorry... I am not doing the surgery."

Good, though! My teeth and jaw are easily fixable by braces and the retainer. ^^

I see. That's interesting. How long usually people wear braces tho if you don't mind me to ask that? My sister wear that since she was a....junior high school student if I remember it correctly and she still wears it now. It's just....sometimes the braces would snap and hurts her mouth so I feel sorry for her and also curious on how long she would have to wear that.

Touche, but I just want to look memorable so if I ever am remembered in history, I at least look cool physically, instead of fat ben franklin. :lol2:

Dude, Benjamin was a scientist, a player and a deviant horndog. He is the living embodiment of the true nature of the Founding Fathers. Every time an evangelical touches a bill with his smirking face on it, Satan grows stronger.

Yeah but...He doesn't look like a heroic monarch like Aragorn. :p

Aragorn is a fictional character. Frankie-boy, no matter how much he sounds like a fictional character as well, was very much a real person. Real people can be pretty ugly, but that doesn't mean they can't achieve greatness.

12 years ago, a little kitten walked up to me in an animal shelter and bit me on the finger, and it was love at first site. I scooped him up, called him Jake, and took him home with me.

Sadly, as all other good things must come to an end, so did his life. He went into renal failure and I was forced to make a decision: put him to sleep or let him suffer until he finally left us. It was the worst decision I ever had to make in my life. When I left him in the exam room, I left part of my heart with him.

During his time on this Earth, I went through some pretty rough patches in life. When I was 10, we moved in with my grandma because we could no longer afford our house payment. When I was 11, my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease (and later died when I was 16), and when I was 13, my dad was diagnosed with Addison’s disease. On top of that I transferred schools multiple times, was bullied, and was diagnosed with depression. And that’s not even the entirety of it.

Jake had the biggest heart. In many ways, he was more human than most humans I know. When I, or anyone else in our household was sick, he was right there, purring. When I was upset about something, he would listen, and would headbutt me to make me feel better.

Jake entered my life just as I was about to hit my low point and was there for me through it all. Even though he was sick for at least 3 weeks (and had probably started deteriorating months ago), he held out for me until he made sure I was going to be okay. And now that I am, his work here was complete and he could move on.

We may be parting ways today, but many years from now it will be my turn to cross over, and I’ll meet him once again.

Thank you for being there for me, Jake. I’ll miss watching Star Trek with you. Say hi to grandma for me.

@ Samudera Darussalam, because I screwed up the quotes:

Depends on person to person, and depends on how screwed up the teeth is. For me, it was rather okay. I was told that there were much worse cases, and mine was more or less fine and not that bad.
Bottom line, I think it was nearly 3 years? From the first photo I took on the braces, it was around 2016 November.

 My condolences.

RIP Jake. I am sure that he was the bestest cat that you have ever had. ^^ May he be in the Cat Heavens above, with an unlimited supply of kitty treats.

He was the best. He was so sweet and loving. Even if I do eventually get another cat, no other cat can replace him.

This was actually from a while back as a random sketch, but I figured that it would suit the occasion. ^^
