Have you ever seen The Queen of Versailles. It's about this lady working at IBM and one day a fellow programmer shows her something he's coded. It's a countdown clock to his retirement. She's like 'oh man, is this what I have to look forward to for the rest of my life?'
So she quits, goes and wins Ms Florida and marries a billionaire.

Wasn't math, sadly. Hell, it wasn't even a research paper that he plagiarized. He plagiarized quite a few Wikipedia articles for use in articles about his own nation.
