There's always hope. This banker feller from Maine I met once told me, "Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." The trick is figuring out how to get there.

Wasn't math, sadly. Hell, it wasn't even a research paper that he plagiarized. He plagiarized quite a few Wikipedia articles for use in articles about his own nation.
