There's an international competition, too. Mainly with teams from post-Soviet nations and China, mind you. The first Western tank team has yet to appear in the game.

So, does anyone have any unusual New Year’s resolutions? Mine are boring. Such as doing a better job at cleaning and quit smoking.

Your resolutions are more possible than mine, since mine is to practice more than 40 hours a day. I don't know how unusual that is. :p

Is there a scientific reason for why going to the beach is so tiring? I can do several hours of walking in a park easy, but 40 minutes at the beach wipes me out for the rest of the day.

Sand.
Walking (or running, in my case) on sand is significantly harder than most other terrain.

Or the fish. They're planning to take over land, and they're going to start doing it by making us tired with their inventions of sand and sun.

I just realized that by the end of this decade, I'll be in my 30s. Which means that sometime in the next 10 years, there's a good decent small very tiny chance that I might get married and have a kid.

That just doesn't seem right.
