She had a reasonably bad illness around her 90th birthday and that was probably the beginning of the end. She stayed alive long enough to meet my sister's kid though which my sister was very happy about.

Y'know, I still want to leave NS; this site has nothing to offer me anymore. However, for lack of a better term, I am addicted to this site to such a degree that I can never leave. I suppose all I can do is resign myself to this hell that I've condemned myself to.

I don't even feel comfortable here in TET at this point; it's hard to have a casual, light-hearted atmosphere when some of the other regulars are, in other threads, bitter philosophical and ideological enemies of me. It doesn't feel fun at that point, not when I have to (figuratively speaking) force a smile around those who make me feel... angry, perhaps? Why am I even venting about it here? Why? I should have never joined this site back when I was in middle school, and I shouldn't have made the Swaglord account as a sophomore in high school, and so on.

That's the point of yet, you can be bitterest of ideological enemies, yet still be polite, civil and even.... friendly.

You miss my point, though. This goes beyond "normal" differences in worldview; the individuals I'm referring to (I refuse to name names, because I don't want to turn this into even more of a shitshow) are downright evil, or at least their beliefs are. I hate having to be civil to them, if I'm to be completely open with y'all. It feels... fake, perhaps?

Anyway, I should probably stop. I have a party to attend this evening, several actually.

I doubt it. The battery is going dead and half the keys are held on with duct tape on top of these new issues. And my job hunt keeps coming up dry, so I can't afford to get a new one anytime soon.
