After some recent deep reflection, I'm convinced I'm bisexual after literal years of thinking I was just gay.

I wouldn worry too much about it. I am a bit sceptical about setting things into fixed categories of either "straight" "gay" or "bi" as fixed sexual orientation one has supposedly, to pick or decide for.

Human beings are more complex than fitting put into some category or corner of either letter combination or word that, as you said, we're supposed (sic!) to figure out. Regardless what the mainstream tells those days, be in favor or against it.

I would recommend - and my advice is worth many times more than the paper it's printed on - I would recommend getting coffee or something and saying, "So ... uhm ... is it hot in here? Whew ... anyway, do you think we could go out sometimes, like on a date or something?" Don't say anything about having a crush on them, just "I'd like to go out with you."
