It's not about the quality, it's about the sitting home after a hard day and digging into fried rice.
Because sometimes even national leaders just want to hang out

Clearly.
I went to the Safeway today. It was ... I don't know, it was weird, like what a polite, slow-motion food riot would be. The store was packed, midday on a Friday. Produce was reasonably well stocked, as was the beer aisle. I doubt there's a roll of toilet paper for sale within five miles. Pasta, especially mac and cheese, was seriously depleted. So were beans. I didn't check rice but I suspect it was also very low. Bread ... random loaves on the shelves. Cheese and cold cuts were okay. Frozen food, too, I suspect, but all I bought was some ice cream. I did see one man with a cart full of frozen pizzas, so maybe not.
An odd experience.

With a bit of editing I could use your text in order to describe my visit to my neighbourhood Lidl. The Dutch are about as bad as the Australians and the Americans when it comes to hoarding toilet paper in the perceived shadow of apocalyptic death.

I always insisted on a clean ass for death.
