AITA if I undermine him and ask my team lead to train me to do her job and try to shoot for her position when she retires?

Go for it!

I don't know about the undermining part but asking your team lead if you have a decent shot at her job is a very good idea. If she says yes or even maybe, ask her to train you. Undermining someone at work can blow up in your face very easily.

Assuming Kannap has the skills, otherwise he's going to be in over his head. He shouldn't be afraid of the increased responsibilities that come with the function.

Undermine probably wasn't the right word lol. I mentioned it to my team lead today and she encouraged me and said she didn't believe in the slightest that the other guy would get the job.

Gotta talk to my supervisor about it, the training would be very open and everybody in the department would know/see I'm training to learn her job - no undermining/secret behavior.

To whom it may concern:

Kannap is a fellow of fine feather, willing to stick his neck out to get things done. With his long spindly legs and spiked claw, Kannap is not afraid to put his foot down to get the job done. While able.to function alone he does prefer to run with the herd, increasing their distance is his specialty.

Is it weird that I love being able to have my own space rn (roommates are all gone, so I have the dorm to myself) but I also feel lonely and wish they were back? '

Like I love having my own sort of space but I also miss having people here

Everyone has their own brands of shame. Mine's in the form of my Facebook posts when social networks are all the rage then.

I'm just kinda glad that I made this nation when I was 20 (back in 2015)... and now I can only think about the fact that I am only 5 years away from being 30...

I can totally relate. I got evicted as part of the quarantine measures (I wasn't infected; they just need my room to make space for people), and now I got a single room.

I miss talking to my roommates, but now I got a piece of my own!

Fabricate a claim, challenge the backup to a duel or lure him to a tavern that you've undermined with explosive manure.

As long as it was for purely chaste reasons, that is acceptable.
