Emigrate/Flee/Vacation/file taxes etc other than your own. Preferably a reason why, regardless how serious, just wondering how many of you leaders have a vacation recommendation.

Nations I would visit for a few weeks: Valentine Z. You know, it's a whole new dimension with a more happy and cheerful tone than ours.

I'm from America but live in Germany and will probably stay in Germany for the foreseeable future.

I've been to Canada, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Czechia, and Finland (I've been in Austria but only at gas stations so I guess it doesn't count).

The next vacation destinations I'm considering include Cuba, Ireland, Mexico, and Vietnam.

There aren't many countries on my "never list" but so far I'd say North Korea, countries that are war zones, and Islamic theocracies.

From Zimbabwe and living in the States at present but I'd quite like to live in Kenya or Botswana. I've been to quite a few countries already South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, the UK, the Bahamas, and Canada and they're all lovely. Thinking about going back to Canada next summer, probably over to Newfoundland or Nova Scotia.

Hmmm. I'm from the States, and I've been to Quebec and liked it. So, definitely there. Also, Sweden, Germany, France, England, Brazil, and maybe Kenya and Mexico. If they survive and succeed, I'd like to visit Rojava one day, too.

Japan, of course.

EDIT: Oh, reasons. Mostly that it's a remarkable high-tech powerhouse (economically and culturally) and though anime may be what drew my attention to that, I also looked at the very nature of (and personally visited) the society from whence it came. It's got everything; good infrastructure, good food, and a culture that is not afraid to embrace cuteness.

How do we know this? Because the first step toward Communism is Socialism, and none of the aforementioned are even remotely Socialist in any way, shape, or form.

I would emigrate to Monaco.

Vacation in Spain.

File taxes in Somalia.

I'd absolutely love to flee this crapsack nation I call home - as to where I'd wanna emigrate, I'd choose between:
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • New Zealand, or maybe even
  • the Netherlands.

As to where I'd file my taxes, the answer's gotta be somewhere small - maybe Brunei, perhaps.

Where would I pass on, however? Definitely most of this continent and the Middle East, and certain areas in America, for possibly less-than-obvious reasons.

Live in: Canada, Costa Rica, Uruguay, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, most of the EU.

Visit: Pretty much everywhere else.

Mainly because the US sucks and those places seem nicer and less hell-holey.

My place (not the US) is pretty hell-holey, so hell-holey in fact, that our capital is about to sink to the ocean and we also save the best for last: the most polluted river on Earth! Russia with all its corruption is still a better place than wherever I live. I didn't specify because, in my country, there's no need for a KGB-equivalent or a Gestapo-equivalent, because of the mobs of people doing their job and they'd be hella pissed if I specified which country.

I'd visit every country on Earth if I could.... though perhaps delay visiting the warzones until they decide to stop killing each other and kidnapping tourists.

Living in is trickier. Apart from my own ones, I'd guess Japan, Sweden, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria would be nice. Could go with a curve ball and say Nepal again, since I had a good time when I lived there not too long ago. Tropical islands are nice too, though the Caribbean seems to get a bit windy for my tastes.

Don't wish to emigrate or flee my country, the UK, for now, though I'm keeping close attention to the whole Brexit debacle. If things look like they're going to get very nasty (as in food shortages, widespread violence, political persecution- all things that I rate as more likely than the average Briton does), I am ready to bolt to the family in Luxembourg. That said, I love the UK and would be very sad to leave it.
If I was in the US it the choice of whether to leave or not would depend heavily on my circumstances. If I was in roughly my current position though, I'd probably be looking at moving out, even though I love that place too.

It's the river bit that really gives it away. The river that flows through Jakarta (I forget its name) is infamously disgusting with all of the pollution in it.
