I'll add that it is commendable that it still shows symbols of the snowflake, evidently aspiring to have Christmas during Winter as if it were a 1st world country.
Well, that's one way of looking at it.
Either that's a new edition or it's not the only book that's gone all in with tractor Santa. Related, also related.
This is the ultimate read-aloud for Christmas in New Zealand. The rhyming text flows off the page and Deborah Hinde captures the colours of a truly New Zealand festive season.
Appealing to the New Zealand nostalgia market

I know, I know... should probably hold a newspaper up to prove it's a recent photo. Don't ask why we have snow iconography in a city it never snows for a holiday that takes place in summer appearing in a photograph taken in spring.

Those look way more like leaves than snowflakes. They have stems.
Silly for you since it's spring there, but still not snowflakes.

Stollen and Hawaiitoast are the best parts of Christmas.

28 August 2019. Heatwave in The Netherlands, but the first chistmasstore (of Arnhem) had opened its doors.
Per first of September, the kruidnoten and chocolate letters of Sinterklaas were in the supermarkets (5th of December)
A week ago, all props for Halloween entered the stores in The Netherlands, and for some parts 11th of November Sint Maarten will be celebrated.
In my youth, long long time ago, skip( we didn't celebrate Halloween, October parts of the Netherlands prep Sint Maarten (with sugar beets carved as lanterns to sing songs for sweets at the door) November was prep for Sinterklaas, skip (still no Thanksgiving) and after 6th of December, Christmas!

Stollen are indeed delectable and while ham is the true Christmas meat (Turkey is for plebs... I haven't tried goose yet so I may yet be wrong) and must, of course, have pineapple to accompany it, Hawaiitoast sounds disgusting.

It may be disgusting, but it's a tradition and I love it.

No such holiday.
Also, that's the entire point of the thread... is it too early?Thermodolia wrote:Christmas music sucks ass, it’s cold and wet, and I have to spend time with relatives I don’t like. Like hell its magical
Try a holiday in Australia over Christmas. I'd suggest here but it's still reasonably likely to have "cold" and wet here.
This would also help you avoid the relatives you don't like.
