Are you saying you love them whilst finding them disgusting? Or that you love them (even if other people might find them disgusting)?

I love it despite the fact that most people consider it disgusting.

I don't generally plan on what I'm buying for people for Christmas until about a week before Thanksgiving, and decorate the week of Thanksgiving.

My mom, meanwhile, starts Christmas shopping in January and would put the tree up in September if she had it her way.

Dad put the tree up three years ago and never took it down (metal and plastic one). Also the Christmas lights have been up for two years now over at his place. Not for any reason other then no one wanted to go looking for the boxes in the garden shed :p

Christmas is good for getting kids to shut the fuck up for a while on the threat Santa won't be visiting so it can never come too early.

I love Christmas.

Jesus Christ did so much for us on Earth and does so much for us after his death. He acts through us when we help others and sacrifice ourselves for their well-being

May he always be with you and your spirit. :)

Call me a grump, but I'm definitely one of those guys who bitches incessantly about Christmas Decorations in the Fall. Like, Christmas isn't for everyone, it would make everyone's life easier if enthusiastic Christmas folk just kept to themselves about it until like mid-December idk.

While I try to get all my Christmas presents bought early (this year, I won't be able to; though -- I'm planning to go to go to a Christmas market in early December, and I'm hoping to pick up bits and pieces there), decorations don't generally go up until the week before Christmas, and they're down by Jan 6th.

Stores, however, are already playing Christmas music.

My personal limit for the start of the Christmas season is 1st December.

I'm not typically bothered by the extended commercial holiday season, but it does seem rather wrong to have two holidays overlapping (christmas/halloween)

Interestingly Dutch immigrants have (or, perhaps I mean had) a tendency to end up working with glass houses in some capacity here.

A friend of mine is quite into anime. I don't think he was so much way back in year seven (2007) but it might explain why when we were making Santas at school his was (a) blue and (b) Vampire Santa.

No, I do not remember what anyone else's Santa was like (including my own). Presumably they were conventional. Someone might've done a gumboot one.

He's an accountant now... read what you like into that.

When you think about it nerds, or at least geeks, are the ultimate capitalists... valuing consumer products obsessively and, in many cases, actually going so far as to deliberately possess multiple versions of the same thing.

So, if Christmas is the ultimate capitalist goal, it would make sense if it was for the ultimate capitalists.
