Mostly I just like alphabet soup.

Do you like katagana in your soup or hiragana?

Oh I pull out ALL the stops and go for kanji!

Currently enrolled at a community college for an associate's in electrical engineering technology, hoping to get a job as a tech to fund my eventual bachelors in either English or Electronic Engineering - which mainly depends on how I feel after a few years in the field, as my talents lie in English but I am interested in electronics.

Oh, and I am aggressively working class and I can only afford a 2 year degree so I'm playing it safe.

The Republic of Ourisio: A semi-isolationist democratic socialist, "muscular" parliamentary republic with hispanophone minorities, conscription and a world-class aerospace and tech industry in the far north. Famous for pioneering powered flight and bad food. Think "Norwayifornia" but more fighter jets and robotic arms.

Honestly, that's a good idea for pretty much anyone these days. The cost of a university education has exploded in recent years alongside the student debt bubble...if you can stay out as long as you can and transfer the credits for your degree, all the better.

Trust me, if you're in community college living independently from your parents and have friends you know to get drunk with on a regular basis you're not missing one god damn iota of the "college experience". In fact, it's the same damn thing for four years. Not that I didn't enjoy it, Lord knows those were the best days of my life so far, but it's not some kind of unique experience you couldn't get elsewhere. It's really the "away from your parents" that's the main factor.

I read "katakana" as "kangaroos."

I should probably put my glasses back on.

I was accused of this once... I think it's unfair. I mean, yes, I was originally one of those "I'll go to uni and do what I like" people but subsequent to that I've been quite instrumental... personal differentiation being an employment concept we were taught. Although I did things a bit inefficiently at the end there. Should've done 2 courses in summer school and then 5 in semester one... COP'd the stats course I wanted, done the three semesters of what I'm doing now and then done the PGDip and I'd be done in a few weeks (depending on when my exams were). Ah well.

The point is that I am so over uni right now. And I'm not going to be finished until June next year.

You would be surprised, I get about 4 weeks a year of technical training.

I have a BS in mechanical engineering and an MS in Mechanical and aerospace engineering. I also have a technical qualification from IPC as a CIS for the J-STD-001G soldering standard and the J-STD-001GS space addendum to it.

Honestly, I feel like more technical education should be pushed in my country than what currently is.

Bachelor of Science in in Information Technology + several active certifications, which depending on employer are as valuable/more valuable than a post-graduate degree. Absolutely no intention to get much more than that unless I plan to teach, which is unlikely.
Wait an hour, and it will be now again
