UK Politics Thread XI: Boris' Big Bombastic Brexit Bash

I have taken the liberty of using my modly powers to change the poll and make it a general election poll.

I apologise to everyone who's now going to point out how imperfect the poll is, especially to voters in Northern Ireland who might reasonably object to my conflating the main community-oriented parties into two blocks (and leaving out the Alliance Party).

Ladbrokes has 10/11 odds on a Conservative majority with 20/1 for Labour.

Ladbrokes has 10/11 odds on a Conservative majority with 20/1 for Labour.

Oddschecker is showing 1/6 on Conservatives having most seats and 15/2 on Labour, with 7/2 on the next PM being Jeremy Corbyn and 1/4 on it being Boris.

I think it's worth looking at the other odds alongside, as it clarifies the picture is not that overwhelming -- odds in gambling mainly being the amount staked (so being more a reflection of others' opinions).

Polling isn't necessarily reliable, but at least it is more of an indication about how people may intend to vote, rather than what people may be willing to back money on.

Same, I'll be voting in uni which is a labour/tory marginal so can't vote Brexit party really.

I'm having to vote Lib Dem in this constituency as they are the only ones that can keep the SNP out.
