Oh Jo...

*shakes head*

I certainly think the LibDems could hope to pick up more seats this year in Remain-leaning areas, and looking at the polling margin of error, it's not outside the realm of possibility they could have the chance to form a coalition (whether they'd want to or not is another matter).

But "hundreds"... Let's hope it's just pre-election self-promotion.

Oh dear, Nicky Morgan is standing down. What a shame.

The loss of recognisable names will hit the tories a little, the loss of their moderates will play into the hands of the Lib Dems, and mean that they and the Brexit Party are trying to occupy the same political space.
Everything is intertwinkled

Yeah but they have been devolved power as well. We can view them as separate kingdoms to keep the cool name.

Of course the English could refuse to recognize the Scots and set up a blockade and starve those bloody Scots into submission.

Time to get my sea boat license and do trips from NL to Edinburgh.

I will not let the Scots starve. Provided they acknowledge that kolven is the predecessor of modern golf.

Interesting that the source your twitter is citing from - yougov - shows it only dropping from 37 points on the 21st October to 36 points on the 25th (and remaining at that on the 30th), whilst Labours also dropped from 23 points on the 25th to 21 points on the 30th.

Also, your source on twitter makes no such claim. Instead your source accurately works out that 36 minus 21 is 15 - the gap yougov have.

The Times actually tries to aggregate all the various polls to give an estimate, and there you can clearly see a notable drop in the torie...

Oh wait, no you can't.

In short, stop making stuff up Vass.

Promises made since the 2017 manifesto include things like Abbott saying they will only allow migrants into the country if the have applied and been accepted for a job before migrating, excluding family reunions and refugees.

These promises which are in effect "let's decrease immigration" will be pretty empty to anyone who cares about them, having seen the actions Labour have taken.

It is tantamount to promising to end inequality and raise wages for the poorest in a manifesto then sneaking in tax cuts for the 1% on a Tuesday night when no one's watching. In itself the action is not contradictory to the statements and promises, but the intent to break them is pretty obvious for anyone who isn't gullible.

Allowing EU nationals already resident in the UK to vote in the UK isn't contrary to the spirit of decreasing immigration. Allowing people aged 16 and 17 to vote certainly isn't.

You know, you and Bojo have a lot in common. You both like talking hyperbolic nonsense, and you are both rather..."inventive" with the truth.

Of course, if you've got something to actually support your claim that somehow a tweet says something it never did, then I'd be more than happy to apologise.

As it is Halloween I had an unpleasant thought.
Is it still possible that Brexit could occur today? Is there some loophole or vote or method (that has either remained undetected, or well hidden) that come midnight we'll accidentally fall out of the EU by way of poor checking of all the legislature and documentation during the maelstrom of the past couple of weeks?

No. I think both Parliament and the EU would cry foul if such a thing existed and the UK "no dealed by stealth".
