Absolutely, if there's any lesson learnt tonight its that when the country's big centre-left party elects a party leader way too far left, electability drops. Good lesson for the Dems and future Labour voters to keep in mind.

Britain being in the albeit afterglow of Christendom but nonetheless part of that tradition that’s a particularly silly thing to say.

I mean rejecting progressive notions that negate the family. There’s no point in turning round and trying to appeal gay marriage yet but you can work with what we have and provide greater care for single parents, pro natal policies and removing the whole LGBTQ stuff from schools until Highschool.

Removing LGBT stuff from schools until high school? Like, you mean, sex ed? Is teaching kids that they should use condoms when they have sex, gay or straight, suddenly a bad thing now? Or are you talking about bringing back Section 28 to the UK? Even though it blocked anti-bullying campaigns in public schools?

No this is about drag queens doing ‘story hour’ in primary schools. People can learn about gay sex in highschool -fine. But before then sexuality should be completely removed from lower education. It’s just not appropriate. The same goes for pride parades. People walking about with rainbow glitter on their cheeks? Eh, bigger fish to be frying. People cutting about in bdsm gear in a large city when children are out and about, not to mention overt phallic props and symbols. Just no. No.

This isn’t about homophobia it’s about public decency.
