Well, if you're planning on breaking Amazon's control, running it into the ground is the best way to do that...

The problem with breaking up businesses is that it forces a lot of workers to lose their jobs. Maybe we could just take every service that Amazon provides and turns each one into an independent company?
So shipping, media, books, online stores, brick and mortar stores (these have recently started popping up, don’t know if they’ve spread out of Seattle yet), food delivery, web server hosting, etc. all become independent?

Unfortunately, Amazon's super PAC convinced congress and the President that you should be arrested instead. Your assets will be given to Bezos so he can burn them in front of you before you are sentenced to a lifetime of work selling Amazon Prime subscriptions. I am sorry but your last chance to prevent this was a decade ago.

We could just take Amazon and give it to the workers and let them set conditions for themselves that are not back-breaking or soul-destroying.

Realistically, the U.S. government would never allow that. It's already a stretch breaking monopolies up in general. Maybe in 1910, but now the capitalist government seems to love monopolies. Odd that capitalism promotes competition when American capitalism doesn't.

Amazon pulled out when pretty much the rest of the city revolted and other lawmakers, activists and you know, the people LIVING in the neighborhood which would have been destroyed said, "Fuck off."

3 million out of 30 million the state would have received if amazon was able to build, plus the loss of over 1,000 $ 100,000 + jobs. Yeah there is a positive.

Mmhmm. Do you even know how badly treated Amazon employees are?

So yeah, not having them ruin a neoghborhood and treat people like Dickensenian characters in workhouses and debtor's prisons is A-Ok.
PS Before throwing a neighborhood away to some megabillionaire, might be nice to ask the people who live there how they feel about their new overlord.

This wasnt warehouse this was a headquarters. Management gets treated better everywhere, secondly they would have to comply with city work laws, as long as what they do is lawful there is no reason to ban them from doing business in the city.
As to gentrification that neighborhood was ruined decades ago
