Even positive stereotypes aren't good, as it paints a broad brush over individuals.

Yeah, the alarmism coming out of various right-wing rags is as humorous as can be expected. Even so, I don't really see the value in including this in the math curriculum. It looks like it could easily take up a whole week of instruction alone, at which point the math teachers are scrambling to get to the math part of the class. Wouldn't this fit better within history and social science requirements, at least in K-8 settings?
