Uhm... this isn't really the 'Telconi's politics' thread. As much as I disagree almost entirely with their politics, it's a little off to dogpile another NSGer.

On the topic of Trump wanting to take away guns, they rolled up a newspaper and booped him on the nose for that and he changed his opinion right quick. Too bad really, since it's one of a few things his base would absolutely ditch him for enacting, imho.

I'd trust scientists within their specific field of expertise, though with reservations in case of some complicating factor, like their expressed beliefs being discredited or compelled by their organization. An electrician isn't a brain surgeon; a nuclear physicist isn't an expert on global politics. People can be polymaths, but the default assumption should be that they're not.
