Probably came for a round of golf and was carrying a knife for self-defence.

The money could be to bribe his way in, or out. On the other hand, it's not absurd at all if the guy doesn't have a bank account.

Probably innocent, 'cos who the hell tries to murder the President with a pickax? It's not even the right tool for digging under a fence.

Too incompetent to be an Iranian government assassin I'm thinking.
That pickax, again. Getting about on foot carrying a damn pickax, that would draw the cops just about anywhere!

It could however be an angry Iranian man going lone wolf, who blinded by hate neglected to form a decent plan.
If so, Iran will take the blame whether that's fair or not.

Because I don't want any further cause for hostilities I really hope he was in the States before the Suleiman assassination.

Nope, it to be expected.

Certain Iranians have put an $80 million bounty over Trump because of the little war crime he committed a few days ago.

Hey, my joke. It's OK we can share.

The pickax would be a pinch hitter for clubs, in case the pro shop was out of hires.

It's been 6 hours with no update to that story. Makes me think police are questioning him at length, or have turned him over to the Feds.

Either way, makes me suspect he wasn't just a nutter taking a walk with his favourite tool. Bummer, I want more peace!

We'll never know, and you should resent that.
Trump has denied you and me the knowledge which a trial would bring.

It can be. I don’t see why not.

I don’t think it is a war crime, though. Not because he would be a terrorist, but rather because the armed conflict nexus has not been satisfied. There is no war, so there are no war crimes.

However, that does not mean it is not illegal. It’s just not a war crime.

I don’t think it is, it’s listed as the covert operations wing of the IRGC. But it does coordinate with quite a few militia groups in the Fertile Crescent that might have done a few attacks of sorts.

But the same goes for the CIA and the US armed forces. Are those terrorist organisations as well?

It's actually quite weird. The only available report (CBS, all the others are copied) says the "weapons" he was carrying (on foot mind you) were knives, a machete and a pickax. There's a picture of him, he looks frankly like a homeless man, but he had $22,000 dollars on him.

You honestly telling me you woke up this morning expecting something like that to happen!?

What's the difference between the CIA creating Stuxxnet to destroy an Iranian enrichment facility and any other terrorist attack?
