There's a reason why the Gilded Age was called the Gilded Age. A thin veneer of "gold" in the way of economic expansion masking serious social and cultural problems, which is why shit like that these days is relegated to dystopian fiction since nobody wants to go back to that hellhole of a time period. Also, psychopathy isn't something that should be revered and placed into national dominance over society since psychopathy puts the desires of the self at the expense of the needs of the many, generally with harmful and malicious results.
