The poll above and polls I have seen of independent voters against President Trump's impeachment by the Democrats for political reasons against him, not for justice in America (the USA). In this particular case the impeachment polls and the election polls of independent voters are related to the topic of this thread, it overlaps.

If I was stuck in a jungle with ten people and we were debating about abandoning someone half the group considers an asshole, I would think about much more than the tunnel vision of whether that person is an asshole or not. Like, you know, is it worth losing one extra person to defend the group / be a meat shield.

If Donald Trump is to be removed from office, there is quite obviously going to have to be a replacement, and taking a look at the VP I don't think that's a question that should be answered in a positive way.
