The good news, I may add, is that North Korea is so restricted and obsessed with autarky that there's a high chance that it will become a de facto quarantine by limiting potential pig exports that could infect other nation's pigs.

It seems African Swine Fever is popping up in Best Korea's hog population.
Rather serious as given how the Hermit Kingdom is, it could become the epicenter for ASF contagion that'll hit neighboring countries like South Korea and China, affecting supplies of pork and prices. Any other country quarantine and control would at least be possible. It's the global equivalent of an antivaxxer's kid let loose in Disneyworld.
What's your take?

It hasn't started in NK, it's already across the region as I've linked a couple times above. The issue is not larger pigs it's that pigs have become homogenised so there's no variety and thus no resistance to the disease.

I'm not saying it will make it worse, but the fact that China is actually doing so points to how much pork they are consuming. There is a lot of demand for pigs and that will make an outbreak worse.
