Go back to my high school years and drive home to my past self the importance of studying hard and actually being present in class, not falling asleep in math class, and not skipping out on school all the time. I would also drive home the importance of adopting healthy and friendlier habits that do not endanger my chances of a successful life.

Come to think of it I hope this time travel... thing I guess... has a universal translator. Otherwise most of history won't be vaguely understandable at the best of times.

I feel that it'd be a waste to use time travel for that purpose as opposed to using it to become rich, but my other purpose is tempting nonetheless in my mind. If you have advance knowledge of the future, you could better position yourself to be the first to market with that idea if you know how it works and can be the first to patent it instead, and if you know it'll sell well- you'll become rich without trying so hard.

I think perhaps I could go back to the good old days, when women were considered to be more like property and fulfill my dreams of Patriarchy.

I might be opposed to divorce, abortion, and contraception, but that's a bridge too far, even for me. :(

Let's not forget that women are human too, and as such, are entitled to human rights.

Even back in the middle ages, a woman wasn't exactly bought and sold barring some exceptions. They had rights as people, just relatively less compared to today, especially if they were married. It was just assumed that their father or husband took responsibility for them or did things for or on their behalf.

In the current era, we're too used to women having all the power and leverage for most things because of Feminism (asides from within the realm of business and politics). Although on the economic front, women are becoming more successful than men to some extent- because of the demise of blue and white collar jobs from automation and credential inflation (where ever increasing amounts of education is demanded but only some people will be truly competitive enough to benefit from the education they get given that they're competing against the entire rest of the world). The fields that still have plenty of demand or have relevance to today, tend to be those that women are able to fill, such as nurses in the Medical field or secretaries at Financial or Legal firms.

Point is, you won't know what the old way of doing things is like unless you can live it. You might even end up liking it. Why not take more advantage of being male, if there ever existed a time when being that was considered great by default, provided you were already rich or influential?

Well, considering your description of Jesus(peace be upon him) is nothing like he actually was, I'll ignore your warning, though I'm sure it was with the best intentions.

Nowadays being male isn't too bad if you live a Christian life within an authentically Christian (Catholic) community. Catholic women are generally pretty nice and radical feminism isn't a problem in Catholic communities.

All a man has to do is study something worthwhile (STEM related), work hard, and exercise. Be virtuous and you'll meet great women.

I also recommend military service.

This is unfortunately, not a recipe for a good life for everyone. Not eligible for military service and got a STEM degree that didn't work out. Where as if I got a financial, medical, or legal one- it almost certainly would have. What I consider to be good, other people consider to be bad. I have tons of scorn for how the world is and where it is heading.

And how do you know that? there are no contemporary depictions of Jesus.

He would have been short, because people were shorter then. He would have poor hygiene by our standards, because while ritual bathing was practiced widely in the region at the time, it was still something of a luxury. He might have been bald. A lot of guys are, and there are no contemporary accounts of his hair.* He lived in a world with poor standards of dentistry. And there is a part in the Bible where he curses-out a tree. So the depiction I paint is entirely plausible.

*Revelations does describe his hair, but was written long after he death, and is probably symbolic. If we take it literally, Jesus has white hair.

Not at all!

When you've got a STEM degree, fit physique, motorcycle, and military service under your belt you've lived more than most men nowadays. The Catholic wife, family, and community is just the cherry on top.
