True, but then it sort of makes it a pointless loop. I'm tired because my future self made me sleep on the floor so that he could catch up on the sleep he missed because he had to sleep on the floor...

I'd go back in time and embed a priesthood of Technicians in the commonwealth of Iceland. Then use the fact that Odin, via my time traveling intervention, gave them the machine gun as proof of the Allfathers Supremacy over the Pope.

Then I would go back to the future and read about the cool wars.

Rinse, Repeat at any point in which I feel like intervening.

Yeah, but then if I snore then I'm not going to be able to sleep and that gets us back to the original problem. Of course, I could just get drunk and pass out but then I'd wake up hungover and want to sleep it off, again bringing us back to the original problem. By the time this is all said and done I might end up killing myself in one iteration or another whether intentionally or by misadventure.

Maybe the solution is to go back in time and use my knowledge of the future to invest in the stock market, make a ton of money, and buy another property that I can furnish with a separate bedroom so that I can finally get that eight goddamn hours of additional sleep.

Ehhhhh not really. While I also made a post about Gavillo Princp it is unlikely removing him would much to prevent WW1. WW1 was caused by a chain reaction of alliances that had been established well before the assassination of Franz Ferdinand with the assassination just being the spark that ignited the powder keg Europe was. At best saving Ferdinand would mean the war would be delayed.

Getting my younger self to adopt healthier habits would be the first step.

A few places I would go to. First, I would go to about 2000 years ago to record what was happening in small province of a rather large empire. Second I would go back to record the formation of the first proto-living things and record it happening (that will be hard). Then I would go to the future and learn lottery numbers as well as learn what things to invest money into.
