Remember kids, it's ethnic cleasening when refugees move to an area you happen to support. Any mention contrary and you couldn't possibly be real, just a puppet.

They aren't kicking anybody out though. But I don't doubt you may have fascist sympathies. Many Italians in power and in general hold those sympathies. I can't be sure you aren't one until I know you better frankly.
Civilians generally avoid staying in areas that are being shelled, as it is a generally unpleasant state of affairs to find oneself in. I mean, so I'm told. seeing as they can't go north, they're probably going to go south.
And, what, you expect they can just cross the front lines at a later date, maybe call up the embassy and make an appointment?
Like yo how do you think the refugees became refugees? They read in the papers "civil war happening" and said "oh deary me, well pack your bags honey, we're going to Germany"?

So it looks as if the US are catching up to Russia's betrayal of the Kurds last year. Depressing, but not surprising.

Allegedly the YPG has been shelling Turkish territory from Qamishli, particularly the Assyrian populated portions, to draw Turkish fire onto them to cause casualties and give the SDF as a whole more propaganda to use against the Turks, ie "look they're killing Christians!". Assyria TV has been talking about it and they've done good on the ground reporting before exposing a number of shitty actions by the Kurds.

Erdogan threatened to open the flood gates and send millions of refugees to Europe if they continue the hardline against Turkey. Fun times are ahead.

Turkey was an irreproachable US ally during the decades when Turks were most forceful in persuading Kurds to be "Mountain Turks", and when the Turkish military routinely overturned results whenever their people voted "wrong".

Ergodan hasn't done anything 1% as bad, but he's taking 100x the criticism.

What could he possibly have done to offend so many powerful people?

(criticized Israel)
(supported the democratically elected option in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia)
(failed to overthrow Assad)
(defeated a coup attempt)
(bought Russian weapons)
(spoken with Trump)

I do think this outpouring of love for Kurds in the media is blatant concern-trolling, and that the crimes the West wants Ergodan punished for are not the ones many of his people want him punished for.

Resettlement in ones homeland does not equate to genocide. Not even in Amnesty International's dictionary.
Non-refoulment to a country where they would face a credible death or persecution doesn't come into it either, unless you believe the PKK are a threat to resettled refugees.

It is ethnic cleansing when you force people from their homes at gunpoint and shell civilian neighborhoods. But lemme guess, "erdogan didn't do nothing"

If erdogan ever even dared to do that, I would be more than tempted if I was the president to take thousands of our most psychotic criminals from our prisons and air drop them into istanbul.

I know but it's like their new york. Trump could easily solve the erdogan problem if he acted like the supposed tough guy of 2016 but surprise, he's actually a coward. This could end real fast if we actually stood up to turkey. Erdogan arms ISIS? We are the kurds. Erdogan releases more refugees into europe? We release thousands of our country's worst serial killers and rapists into istanbul and let the madness take hold. Erdogan threatens to invade syria? We stay instead of running and let him know that if even one American soldier dies, ankara is gonna look like nagasaki. He'll have thirty minutes to give his last address as president before his country gets day after'd. I wonder if erdogan would still want to fight if it looked like the American president might absolutely terrorize his country due to his actions? See the idea is that erdogan isn't as crazy as say kim jong un, and that upon hearing that the US might use unconventional means against him, he'll back the hell off for once. I wish we were acting brave but when trump said "we want our troops home" I guess he meant we just run away now. It sure looked like we were running away when trump pulled our troops right aft erdogan announced invasion plans, and I'm sure turkey's favorite autocrat will use our withdrawal as propaganda of such sort

Erdogan is using Europe's fear of more refugees against them. Just another example of Turkish divide and conquer

Wonder what Russia currently thinks of the situation. Especially if the situation with Iran worsens and the US suddenly show up again to be everyones friend.

I wish someone would just fight Turkey for once and I mean beyond just the kurds or even syria. NATO needs to kick the Turkish sharia state out and America needs to stand firm against them...but we won't cause they're blackmailing us with refugees

And stopped committing atrocities too.
What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

You literally are though, considering you're acting like its a crime of all Kurds that the PKK (which, shockingly enough, isn't a part of Rojava) has committed acts of terrorism in Turkey.

You know? For masquerading as this bad ass revolutionary willing to fight ''fascism'' or ''oppression'' by any means necessary and having dreams of overthrowing Capitalism via armed revolution, all you will ever do is run your mouth about the poor little kurds and freak out on anyone not wanting to get involved. Well if you are so willing to help stop some ''genocide'', here's your chance at bashing the fash, put your money where your mouth is and fly out there, or drive or hitchhike or whatever and pick up a gun yourself. Atleast I was ready to fly to the other side of the fucking world to help out the YPG and then on to Ukraine once ISIS was taken out, what the fuck are you even going to do about it?

Sure.

Oh don't give me that horseshit. The PKK are just a covert group for them. Also, I wasn't talking about the PKK only. Rojava themselves have committed atrocities as well.
